The Children

I want to share to you my experiences in dealing with children for seven years that I'm handling grade one and with my three cute kids.I make this poem for those children lovers around the world.

God blessed them and gave them to us
Their lives to shape and mold
To share with us in youthfulness;
To comfort us when old.

They were only lent to us
To be guided on their way;
To be taught to work;
To share in our play.

We cannot expect a miracle,
To teach them when they have grown
If we do not care enough to teach them,
While they are still at home.

If they know that they are loved
And not just in the way;
If they learn the golden rule
By watching us each day.

And if we have done our best
With the children that to us He lent
Our tears will hold no touch of guilt,
When back to Him they are sent.

Children are God's gift to us and we should love them as they are.God has a great purpose in dealing with children. Thank you for reading this blog.

The Value of Discipline

We now live in a very complex society. Teen pregnancies, violence, suicides are increasing. our society has lost touch with what the children need to mold character and competence.
Today's youth need something.And what is it? They constantly need loving training that corrects the heart and mind. Different persons need different kinds of discipline. When motivated by love, discipline often can be conveyed by reasoning.
Teaching children a sense of order and respect is aone great challenge for parents today. Boundaries must be set around personal properties and preferences to imply that it is wrong to love violence or harm one another.

Character Education Seminar

DepEd (Department of Education) holds Character Education Seminar for 2 Saturdays.
DepEd officials see the need of refreshing techniques and strategies in teaching values education to our school children.It is obvious that youngsters nowadays are not keen with the importance of values. They have less respect to parents and elders in the community. Some were indulge in vices thus they really need cares and guidance.
The Deped is trying its best to solve this problem for learning will not take place with undisciplined children to teach with. Even in my case, I'm handling grade class with 43 pupils of different personalities, it's really difficult.
The problem of low moral and lack of discipline affect so much the performance and achievement of children. That's why Philippines ranks at the bottom in leteracy rate percentage.
This delimma needs a concerted efforts of parents, community and the government agencies to have a better result of learning.

Nuga Best

Nuga Best it sounds like a Hebrew word.But according to the teacher of the said massage clinic the word Nuga is a Korean word means St. Luke.
Last Saturday, we went to Tagbilaran City, capital of Bohol Philippines because we would like to avail a free massage from Noga Best.Actually this massage session was done for 40 minutes only and they have an electonic devices that will do the massage at our back or at the spines in which the roller of the machine rolls our back and it brought heat.This Noga Best is a Thermo acupressure Therapy.
I found out that a lot of people go there to avail this promotion until December 2007. Those who were a regular clients said that the have cured from their illness.The only thing I don't like is the clients should get the number even at dawn because it is firts come first serve basis.
My husband get the priority number at around 12:30 A.M. and I need to line up just to get mine to and it's difficult on my part for I have a 9-month old son with me.
Instead of getting healed my body condition get worst coz we have to travel after the session for about 51 kilometers going back to our home town.So next time we need to lodge to have the best result of the Nuga Best Session.
My heartfelt gratitude to the Nuga Best promoters for it helps a lot of people in their different sickness.Thank you and more power!

Erap's Guilty Verdict

Filipinos from all walks of life, watched and reacted as the former president of the Phillippines Joseph Ejercito Estrada " Erap" was sentenced to life imprisonment six years after his ouster from Malacanang.
On Wednesday morning,(Sept.12,2007) Filipinos viewed to thier television sets as the Special Division of the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan found the former president guilty beyond reasonable doubt for plunder.
In my own view the guilty verdict is a positive sign that democracy still works in our country and our institution is still credible. The said president was convicted due to the overwhelming evidence against him. It shows that no one is exempted from the law.It will be a lesson learned for all administration officials that they might be riding the same canoe if they will commit an illegal act of betraying the public trust.
In the other hand, Erap supporters were not happy of the guilty verdict and they cried for justice and insist to have a fair verdict infact they are filing for motion for reconsideration.
Hopefully, the Sandiganbayan should release the contents of the decision to give the public an explanation on why the former president was convicted and not acquitted.

Remembering Teachers

The only recollection I have of my first grade one teacher, Mrs. Felipa Bolos, is taht of kindly and patient teacher.
In Rosariohan Batuan,Bohol I had a grade one teacher who once rescued me from a classmate who, for reasons I don't now remember, stabbed my left arm with his Mongol pencil.I forgot ma'am's teaching but not her act of saving me from further havoc.
I remembered my grade two teacher naming me talkative cause I don"t like her boring way of teaching the lessons.
My grade three teacher has an angelic voice, and face.I like her ways of dealing pupils, she is tender-hearted.
How about my fourth grade teacher? She played favorites and and often have tantrums in our class.She got mad easily.
My fifth grade teacher played an important role of who I am now. She is a woman of words and deeds,she is a good leader too.She taught the lesson well,though I hated music she made me sing, and read notes.
Space prevents me from sharing more recollections about my teachers.But let me conclude with the following thought- Some of the most valuable lessons I learned from my teacers did not come from textbooks they taught from,but from their lives
and how they reacted and interacted situations, circumstances and students like me.Having faults of their own, they were human enough to recognize them.

Can Food Cause Disease?

It can't be denied that much of our money is spent eating out. Our food is processed, refined,concentrated, sugared, salted, and chemically engineered to produce high-calorie, low-nutrient taste sensations.OUr cattles are fattened in feedlots without exercise and with antibiotics and growth enhancers.The result bigger cattle producing steaks containing twice fat as range-fed cattle.And we're paying dearly for these advancements.While we eat to live, what we eat is killing us.

The statics are pretty convincing. One hundred years ago, a small percentage of our people died from coronary heart disease and strokes. Today it is triple or maybe quadruple that figure. That's also true with those who died of cancer.

This isn't nature's way. We weren't meant to die in such numbers from heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, and colon and breast cancer.As people could afford diets rich in animal products, and food industry produce highly processed foods crammed with calories and emptied of nutrition.
The road to better health and longer life is to our gardens and farmlands or our country.

How to Give Encouragement to Someone?

Haay! Sa hirap ba naman ng buhay ngayon....Ayoko na! This is the the exprerssion wwe Filipinos ussually utter whenever we feel burned out or at the brink of giving up.Discouragements and disappointments easily beset us, and many of us find difficult to cope with the fast-paced 21st century.As a result many fall into the deep pit of depression.

So how can we rush to a rescue?How can we show that we reaaly care? Can we offer more than just a shoulder to cry on? We can. But the truth is it is difficult to give especially if you have'nt in his situation.In my own experience to encourage someone is keeping a positive attitude that reflects an image of hope can help ease up apprehensions. However, more important than sympathizing with that person is letting him know taht whatever happens, whatever is the outcome of his decision, God has a plans for him and everything will eventually turn out for his own good. Don't let anybody ruin you God loves you so much.So my dear..... cheer up and move on.

Light the World with Hope

Someone said you can live for 30 days without food, eight days without water, and about eight mnutes without air, but never for a second without hope.Hope is essential to life, to physical soundness and sanity, and to a balanced outlook in life.Apostle Paul called this the "blessed hope of the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ"(Titus 2:13) Christian hope looks to the future, centering its focus of expectancy on the appearance of the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, who will reorder society and creation, and usher eternal peace without pain as well as eternal life without death.I watched and listened news with the "hello Garci and Abalos corruption.Million of pesos is lost, and the search for peace in Mindanao as rare as chicken teeth.The litany of bad news seemed endless, and I am tired with my grade one pupils' behavior. But I need not to fear for God is always there to rescue me everytime I'm down and drown with pain.I hope you value this and start to share the gospel to others

Platelet Donation

Just one month ago my friend's eight-year old son died from dengue.I guess everybody feared this dreadful desease. There is a lowering of the platelets brought by the mosquitoes bite, in this case there is a need for platelets donation. I learned from health and home that there is now an easy way of platelets donation called Plateletpheresis.The sophisticated medical equipment-blood cell separators- can collect enough platelets for transfusion from a single donor. It takes only one to two hours to complete a little bit longer than a regular donation bacause it takes extra time to separate and collect the platelets from the other blood componets.It's simple, very safe process.

I have the heart to share this information for this will help to those people who have special health-care needs.These people may be undergoing serious health problems like leukemia, cancer aplastic anemia and dengue patients. This can mean the difference between life and death. Platelet donation is helping save life.

The Malunggay

Just last night my husband and I watched the show "Kapuso Jessica Soho". It is a Filipino televesion talk show hosted by GMA channel 7.

The malunggay is a kind of leafy vegetable that will grow easily in our backyard.It was discovered in South Korondal Cotabato that this plant has variety of uses. In fact teachers and villagers there used this to solve malnutrition problems to their children.They have to "laswa" or boil the leaves for soup purposes. They also used it as one of the ingredients of their puto or native cake or delicay and the result was great.The leaves of malunggay was used also ni making some tea and capsules for medication for different illness and the price is very much affordable.

Quatations

LOVE is the net where hearts are caught like fish.

To wear your heart on your sleeve isn't a very good plan.You should wear it inside, where it functions best.

A SHRINE WITHIN A SHRINE IN FORT SANTIAGO

The month of December is a month for recalling many things. One of those worth recollecting is the marthrdom of Jose Rizal. Fort Santiago is called a shrine within a shrine, the 'shrine within' being that of the place where Rizal was incarcerated before he was shot on December 30, 1896. The collection of Rizal memorabilia:books, some sculpture and drawings, and souveniers from his travels abroad are all found in the house(left)

Everyone wanted to visit this memorable place like teachers, students, and Filipinos and etc!
